I love new years
Even though I never celebrate greatly I like having a new start to things/setting goals for myself. 2010 will be a good one I can feel it.
I have no plans for new years, like every year.

Flickr depresses the hell out of me sometimes
me too. especially when I’m not feeling inspired (like lately) and people just keep taking amazing photographs and I wish I could do the same.
Grandma: So, have you spent your christmas money yet, alex?
Me: No, not yet. Although, I think I'll buy a new lens soon.
Grandma: Didn't the camera we got you come with a lens?
Me: Yeah, but it's not as good as the one I plan on getting.
Grandma: Oh jesus christ, alex, your camera is just a camera. You don't need anything else for it.
Me: It's my money, and I'll spend it how I please.
Grandma: Don't be all smart aleck with me
Me: I wasn't. I'm just backing up my reasoning.
Grandma: ALRIGHT THEN.
I don’t like at all how my family doesn’t think being a photographer a real career.
I want to take photos that set a certain style for myself, or take some that are out of my comfort zone. I always feel I play it too safe with taking photos.

sometimes i really wonder if we are the future “ shona heath’s” and ” Tim Walkers” or “ annie leibovitz’s” and “Ryan McGinley’s” and someday we will all meet at some convention or one of our galleries. I get excited.

I remembered that I can show you guys some old film photos my grandpa took back in his time. I posted something about a month ago saying I wish I could show you guys. But I’m going back to my grandparents tomorrow, which means I can take the photos of his photos. They’re really great, or so I think. Can’t wait to show you.
I'm supposably supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow...
hopefully snow will provide me with some sort of ideas for an actual photoshoot soon.

sometimes I dream of me taking photographs and they all turn out really wonderful and one time I remember waking up from a dream like that and got up real quick to go get my camera to look at the photos but as I was looking through to find the photos I just remembered it was only a dream.
