Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

I just got home from seeing the movie, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was really worried that it would be cliche and predictable, but it was very well done. I felt the same feeling as I did reading the novel as I did when watching the movie. While the complexity of the book with so much information and back story (which I loved in the book) was somewhat not exhibited in the film, I still felt the film was balanced and got the point/feeling across like the book ultimately did for me. I was also worried the style of writing would not be exhibited, but it was once I thought of the movie overall. Most importantly, Thomas Horn (Oskar) did an incredible job exhibiting Oskar, at least to me. As soon as I saw him making his cards of being an amateur inventor, a pacifist, etc, I couldn’t help but love the little things like that that I knew I loved from the book.

In summary, go see it! I might even go a second time, haha
